Photography & Digital Art
I have been taking photographs all my life, and when I was a young lad I would steal my fathers 35mm Pentax and go snap my way through a roll of film in a matter of minutes. That was then, and as a lad I lost interest, until two and a half years ago, when I picked up a camera for the first time again, and fell instantly back in love. I started browsing the internet for interesting photographers, and there was so much beautiful work, so many talented artists, such as that of Larrie Thomson, my biggest inspiritation. I needed to know if I could do this too.
So I went and bought a £70 digital camera. It had a fixed focal length and the worst CCD ever imagined, but it fueld my fire for the brief time we were together. A week later it got returned to the shop and I bought a Sony DSC-P50, with a 3x Optical Zoom lens, and three point autofocus.
My god did that make me more interested. I began to research and learn about Apatures and Shutter Speeds, composition rules and just about anything photography related. Needless to say I soon outgrew my Sony compact, and a good job too, because it wasn't long (around 8 months after I bought the thing) that it got crushed, and the LCD shattered. It still works to this day, but it only gets used at gigs/festivals.
Now I use a Sony DSC-F717 Prosumer SLR-Type digital camera... And at 18months old she's about 6 months older than she should be, because that's when I outgrew her... Now I'm saving for a Canon DSLR..
